I'm sorry but I have to completely disagree with you on this point. There is nothing to be lost by doing an Apple recommended repair technique, and everything to gain. Doing a full "restore" in iTunes and then
not restoring a previous back up, but instead using "sync" has fixed a myriad of problems (as chronicled by this forum as well as the HowardForums).
I hope Dustin goes ahead and tries it out. Check out a thread I've been maintaining at HoFo (
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1398763&page=2&pp=15 ), you'll see that a restore and sync is responsible for fixing issues that range from sound problems to WiFi connection issues. And at the end of the day, if it doesn't solve his issue it certainly won't make it worse.
And I appreciate that you did a restore and sync on your phone and it didn't solve the issue, but as long as he's looking for a solution, if Dustin hasn't tried it for himself it's something to tick off the list.
