All of my Apps stopped working!!!!! worked fine until after I synched

I downloaded about 4 apps from the app store (some free, some not). they were all working just fine initially, but since synching my iPhone none of them are working including the NY Times app, so methinks this ain't just low rent programming.

I"m starting to see this issue in a couple of other posts, so i know i'm not alone. I also tried updating my iPhone software and checking for updates through the app store and neither yields anything.

can anybody help? this is pretty lame!

I have the same problem. What do you mean by restarting the iphone? Just powering it on and off did not fix it for me, nor did deauthorizing/reauthorizing my pc. I did a "reset" (hold the top and front button together) and that too did not fix it.

Im a little wary or deleting the apps I have purchased from the phone. Its not clear to me with the crude help in itunes how safe my purchases are. How do I delete from the iphone, and resync but prevent itunes from believing my real intent is to permanently remove the app?

ok, just to follow up. One thing I did see that works is to delete the app from my iphone and then re-download it. The app store DEFINITELY knows I already purchased it. It even pops up a dialog informing you of this.

I did this and can confirm that after a resync it does in fact fix the problem:
Just uncheck app syncing option in itunes so that it never sync's your apps. Next, do a sync (itunes will remove the apps from the phone). Then on the iphone delete/redownload all the apps you want back. Shees. This needs fixing!

I wondered if the same problem would happen with the songs I bought on the phone but that is not the case... to date they appear ok.

Im glad though that I can now pour fake beer again 🙂

Here's the BAD NEWS: even if you fix it once using the delete/resync, or whatever magic you come up with, the problem will occur again and again and again - no telling what causes it. Apple better get a fix fast, because being able to download and USE apps was one of the key selling points for me.

Bad reception (see posts)
Can't use apps
Poor battery life

It ain't looking good for this phone to be a keeper... I'll have to read my contract and see how stuck I really am...

Iv been having similar problems. Cant remeber where i read it, *_but this works_* (is a bit long and annoying tho, Apple needs a real fix).

After you have synched with iTunes, and ur downloaded apps stop working. (mine open, then close) On ur iPhone, go to the app store and d/l something free, which will ask you to log in to itunes account, when this has finished d/l and installing, switch off (hold power till "slide to switch off") give it a few secs then switch back on, all apps should be present and working.

Like i say, this does work, have had to do it several times, but Apple seriously need to fix this!!

Alright. So after I synched, my applications stopped working - NY Times, A Portuguese program I bought for $14 bucks, my French program and hangman. Pandora continued to work. I read through the forum and deleted from my applications section of my computer sync and then re-uploaded everything. It would not let me delete the Portuguese program and it still doesn't work! So should I not be syncing applications from my home computer? Will this happen every time? How do I get the program to work again? Hm....3 days with the phone prove to be intriguing but hard to use.

Its a tinyt bug that will be fixed. People tend to over react.
What is more amazing is these user that use vista. Vista is so problematic it was removed from all our clients at work and xp had to be reloaded at a cost that was atronomical with this tiny bug all you need to do is download a free app tutn off the phone and restart. an easy fix until apple corrects the problem which will be very shortly.
