CANNOT listen voicemail via BLUETOOTH headset (w/ iPhone 3G)

With my iPhone v1, I was able to listen to my voicemail messages via bluetooth headset.

With my my iPhone 3G, I cannot.

Can anyone try and listen to your voicemail message via bluetooth headset?

(Could it be the firmware?)

Thanks.

My Jawbone can be selected and used when listening to voice mail - and both VoiceMail and my headset behave exactly as they did with the first iPhone version.

Check to make sure that you headset is properly paired and can be used when placing a phone call. From VoiceMail you should see the word "AUDIO" on a button in the top right hand corner of your screen. Clicking on the Audio button will reveal your audio sources and should include your Bluetooth Headset.

It saddens me to see users who are apparently, unfamiliar with their phones, attack Apple as harshly as they do. More than half of the posts on this board are about User Errors. How about we check issues out a little more closely before we bash - or at least bash lighter!

Yes, there are issues - as there are with most new releases. If you don't have the patience to wait out some of the fixes - perhaps buying early releases - isn't for you.

I have had my iPhone since Dec 2007 and am very familiar with the device and its features. My VM worked fine with bluetooth until I upgraded to the 2.0x firmware after which the option to listen with my headset promptly disappeared. It is not regional or specific to a headset brand as I have 2 Plantronics and a Motorola headset paired with my phone. None of them no work post firmware upgrade.

Then Borchers (who ever he may be) is wrong. I listen to my VV on bluetooth all the time. I just confirmed this 3 seconds ago.

I see no buttons to select this. If paired, and bluetooth on, voice mail goes to bluetooth.
