@ramkivelpuri: Please touch base with Propalms at owen.dukes@propalms.com if you need the API for the VPN. They provide custom API for their iOS and android app that you can integrate in your application for a seamless access by your users.
Will their client work with OpenVPN server or do you have to have their server? If their server, why can't they list their price without downloading it? Exceedingly frustrating.
Hey, send me your email id and i will send their price list. I have it now.
yes its their own server.
he (we) arent looking for some vpn service, we want the VPN API in IOS to be open so openvpn can use it and then we can connect to our own vpn servers
Yes I understand that. I am also looking for the same solution. But I do not see a way out anytime soon. So looking for alternate solutions. I am able to access MS terminal services, my office desktop now with Propalms solution on iPad and Android. Their solutions works for desktop similar to openvpn. Its coming at a cost but getting me connected on my tablets.
I've posted the step-by-step to get a secure VPN connection between OS X and iOS here: <https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4472353>. As far as I know, this is the only way to accomplish a secure VPN link between an iPhone and a Mac.
essandess, there is no point in posting jailbreaks here. That's not what we're looking for.
> That's not what we're looking for.
As I say, this is the only way to accomplish a secure VPN link between an iPhone and a Mac, making this choice an imperative for many.
Hi Apple,
Please do us all a favor and release OpenVPN for ios. Alot of people im sure have moved to Android because this feature is missing. Im thinking about Android myself because of openvpn. Its important. If Apple means business, they'll introduce openpn.

Please apple I need openvpn for my business...otherwise I buy andorid !!
Many professional workers do need open vpn connections, on ios devices.
i need too, that is a stupid think from apple
To use OpenVPN with an iOS device, I would do the following:
1. Set up OpenVPN on a Mac to connect to your OpenVPN server
2. Turn on the Mac's built-in L2TP VPN Server
3. Use OpenDNS to give your Mac a DNS address for access from the internet.
4. Set the iOS device to use the Mac's L2TP VPN Server
In doing so, the internet activity of the iOS device is tunneled through OpenVPN to Mac via L2TP on the Mac then through OpenVPN to the OpenVPN server then to the internet.
Are you kidding? It's not a solution, it's a ********! Please get a real OpenVPN soultion for iPhone (or allow anyone to add a solution in appstore….doesn't mather for me)!
P.S.: I think you are an apple employee, if not sorry, but is a bad workaround not a solution, thanks
OS X's built-in VPN server is PSK-based, not certificate-based, and therefore is not secure. Aside from GuizmoVPN, I am not aware of any secure VPN solution between iOS and OS X.
