Microsoft Surface has OpenVPN. Microsoft means business!
FYI, OpenVPN now has an official app in the App Store.

Ive tested it on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Works great!
awesome downloading it ATM
THX for the great WORK and thx apple to approve it !!!!
Ok so I downloaded it and got my profile loaded but can not figure out how to get the certificate into the keychain on my ipad. The first correct answer gets a cookie 😝
Thanks
Just mail it to you and open the attachment in OpenVPN. It works great! Thanks OpenVPN and thanks Apple... one reason less to swith to Android.
This application works very well and fills the biggest void in Apple's IOS for me. Thank you for finally listening to our requests for a solution.
FANTASTIC, I've been waiting so long for apple to approve this, and a big thanks to the ppl who wrote the app and the ppl that kept pushing, this makes my life just that easier now
Too bad that it took Apple 4.5 years since this thread stared and the threat of Microsoft to do anything though
#fail!
For those of you who, like me, were all excited about OpenVPN, don't get your hopes up too quickly. It's only HALF of a VPN app. Tap is not supported; only tun. So if you have a VPN server that bridges ethernet segments (BOTH of the VPNs I connect to), you're screwed.
Back to the drawing board.
"Great news for many pfSense users today, as OpenVPN Technologies in collaboration with Apple have released an OpenVPN client for iOS."
beamerblvd,
join us in the openvpn help channel on freenode and we can help you stop using tap, theres usually not much reason to use it. most people who use bridging simply dont understand routing. you ONLY need to use tap when you need layer2 over the vpn, and netbios is not a good reason (because WINS exists)
Hello Krzee,
I am looking for a solution to my layer2 routing. If you any, could you please share?
See this discussion for details on how to set up an OpenVPN server on Mavericks with pfctl.
