Screen not sealed properly?

There's a gap on the left side of my screen where the volume rocker is, where the rubber meets the metal, if you move the phone to certain angles you can see light shining through. Does anyone else see this? the rest of the screen looks okay. Also are does anyone have a perfect screen? No dust or dead pixels? I'm wondering if I should even take it back for an exchange, I'd hate to get one with worse problems.
