A MUST READ FOR UCONNECT USERS**

i have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ uconnect and the new iPhone G3. i thought i had the same pairing issue (it paired fine, but would not connect when making a call).

i soon discovered that that the uconnect system worked fine with the iphone G3, but had a minor volume control issue that is mainly an inconvenience more then anything. not sure if this issue is the same with all uconnect models, however this is want i discovered. with my old phone (Treo 755), i found that when i made a call using uconnect, it would pickup the call as soon as i dialed. i was able to hear the call ringing before the other party picked up. with my iphone, uconnect for some reason will not pickup the call until the other party answers the phone or voicemail picks up. when the call picks up, i find that the car volume is much softer then normal and needs to be turned up .

one other issue i found, i had both my iphone and my treo in the car at the same time. i needed to turn off the bluetooth on my old phone.

my suggestion is that you go back and make a few more test calls. if your iphone paired correctly, you should be given the option to switch between, speaker phone, uconnect, and iphone. switch back to speaker phone until you hear the other party pick up and switch back to uconnect.

hope this helps a few of you.

I updated my iphone 3G to 2.0.1, still no luck... come on Apple!!
(my iphone 2G worked beautifully with Uconnect)

I talked to Uconnect support and the customer service person read something from their monitor that said "apple and Chrysler uconnect are working together on this issue"... hard to believe, but ok!

The only way this will ever get fixed is if everyone complains to Apple and Uconnect.

Yeah!- a bit of false hope, actually. (Jeep Grand Cherokee '07 with UConnect)

I updated to 2.0.1 last night- and re-paired my phone today through UConnect. Didn't work initially- until my radio suddenly paused and I got an incoming call through UConnect. Worked for the remainder of that drive with numerous outgoing and incoming calls, but not when I returned to the car later on. GAH!
Back to annoying iPhone headphones... Try pairing your phones again- may work for you.

Let the wait for 2.0.2 begin?

I have a 2007 Chrysler 300 C with UConnect. It has worked great with every phone, I or my wife and kids have tried except,
my brand new I-phone 3G. It pairs, but does they do not recognize each other. Hit the U-Connect button and get "Phone not available". Once in a blue moon a call comes in and I can answer it.

I just upgraded to 2.0.1 and no change. This is a real problem.

I bought the 2009 Dodge Journey about 1 month ago and just got my iPhone 3G today. I have the same issue. It pairs but won't make a call through UConnect. When I dial from the phone it calls through the phone only not UConnect. I am soooooo bummed! It was a big decision to leave Verizon and I finally went for it only to find that my FAVORITE feature of my new car is useless. When will this be fixed?

I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger, and I am also sorry to say no luck with my IPhone 3G connecting. It pairs just fine, in fact continues to show it's paired; however all I get from UConnect is "Phone Not Available". I have the Priority set to #1, and have tried deleting and repairing a dozen times. Still no luck. I agree with the prior post to let Apple know. I submitted my feedback.

Let's try this again. I have a '07 Jeep Grand Cherokee with UConnect and a brand new 3G iPhone. The phone says it is paired but no incoming calls and no out going calls. "Phone not available". Spent an hour on the phone with Apple. Nice person on the phone even heard me in my car pairing the phone and then tried to call me....nothing...nada. The call came through the phone not UConnect. Her words, not mine, "Apple Bluetooth is guaranteed to work with an Apple Bluetooth device." I talked to the manager of the Apple store where I purchased the phone and he said the same thing. It's hard to believe some of the other posts that claim they actually got it to work....tried all their suggestions and nothing worked.
21 days and counting until I return the phone unless Apple addresses this problem. Pretty please...are you listening?

Just got off the phone with UConnect (800-855-8400). Spoke with real human...quickly I might add and he said they (Apple) ARE aware of problem. The fix will come in the form of a CD that you get from your dealership not as an upgrade from Apple. They have no idea of release date or even if they have started working on it. He said to just keep calling back...great!?!? Keep up those complaints to Apple or off to the back burner it goes.
