How fix iPhone encountered unexpected error 0xE8000001 install phase?

Please help ( if there is an iPhone developer forum somewhere please redirect me)!

I can not get even the sample "Hello World" application to download and run on my iPhone device. I have spent hours googling and messing around in the iPhone Developer Program Portal trying to figure out where I went wrong. I get the following error after I build and run:

"Your mobile device has encountered an unexpected error 0xE8000001 during the install phase: Verifying application"

"Try disconnecting and powering off"

Any tips, resources, or advice is much appreciated. I about to the point to consider wiping and reinstalling my Mac in a hope it may improve whatever I did wrong between SDK1-8.

Thanks in advance,

I am getting the error 0xE8000001. My full name is four words: "Rodrigo da Silva Guerra". I tried adding the colon and the space and then the name, like this "iPhone Developer: Rodrigo da Silva Guerra" but the provisioning profile does not appear. I tried almost any imaginable combination of small case and big case, omitting middle name, switching order, etc and still got nothing. I only got the default provisioning profile option available. I also tried restarting the device several times and I tried restoring factory defaults at least three times. Any ideas?

In addition to the "iPhone Developer: " prefix, your name is case sensitive and must match what was entered when you were added to your team. Somehow, I had enetered my last name as all uppercase. Once I made it matched, the provisioning profile appears.. If I changed one character or switched upper/lower case of one character, it disappeared so make sure it is correct:

1 - Go to your iPhone Program Portal
2 - Select your Team
3 - Under the Manage tab, find your name and make sure it matches the upper and lower case

If that does not work, I recommend printing out the below PDF and read it very carefully:

I had the same problem too. I think the only step I had missed was downloading the Development Certificate (Program Portal->Certificates->Download, assuming it was already added). I had forgotten this step because the status of the certificate was initially Pending and the Download button was unavailable. After running into app installation problems I dug around and finally returned to the Certificates page after a few hours and it had become Issued. I then followed the instructions for downloading and using the certificate and that fixed the installation problem for me.

What's unfortunate here is that we all ran into the same installation error in spite of the fact that many of us had different root causes. Hopefully Xcode will be more detailed in its error reports soon.
