Where did my App Store icon go???

My iPhone 3G is a very nice gadget, but I really wonder why I cannot see my App Store Icon any more. I am pretty sure it's not on another home screen - because i only have one active. I am also pretty sure it's impossible to remove pre-installed programs. And i have tried to reset my iPhone completely via iTunes. To no help; the App Store icon is nowhere to be found!
If anybody have any help to offer I would be grateful!

PowerMac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

You can't delete App Store. That's odd yours has gone. When you restored it through itunes did it definitely update 2.0?

Actually i have been wondering about the same. I restored it from a powerMac that maybe not had the latest iTunes version....?? I'll have to check that again. Actually i did the reset 1 hour before leaving for a weeks holiday - without my Powermac 🙂
Unless anybody else have good ideas I will leave an answer to my own post if a new reset fixes the problem. Tomorrow....

Actually my iPhone runs the 2.0 version (5A347) according to Settings-General-Version...... Hmmm.

The version must have been wrong, one way or another. When I did a reset I didn't notice that I actually did a RESTORE in stead of a RESET in the iTunes panel. Therefore I ended up with a copy of my latest backed up settings in stead of a reset. When I did a proper RESET everything went back to normal, worked and my App Store is working.
