Question

error 1607. help me/

everytime i try and install itunes onto my computer
I get the error message 1607.
now ive had this problem for a long time
and i have tried everythign
but nothign works. ive tried to install the windows serivce packs 2. but i cant do that.
can someone please help me.

If you can't get WIndows XP service pack 2 to install, you may have bigger problems than just getting iTunes to run.

But for the error 1607, click the "view all" and read through this

gaah ... if
b nothing
seems to be installing at the moment, and you're getting a 1607 on the itunes install ...

immediately after you get the 1607 message, do you get another error message saying something about your Windows Installer Service? if so, what does it say precisely? (include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

this is getting ridiclous.
I cant seem to find anythign that works.
I trid what you said, but it didnt help.
thanks though, is there anythign else i can do?
