X and Y axes in spreadsheet.
In a spreadsheet, I have two sets of data, eg
3 5
5 4
8 7
9 6
where I want to show the first column along the X axis in time and the second column as values, eg.
..............7
................6
...5
.......4
--3-5--89
Choosing Axes and select X axis and setting min and max, the graph will invariable show my desired X values equidistant along the axis and not spaced along the axis. Instead it always shows them as Y values. Setting Y responds. Setting X does nothing.
Is the only solution to create null spaces in my data to fake the temporal separation I seek along the inflexible X axis? If it was just the above example I wouldn't mind doing this, but the time data actually stretches over 4 years.
