Antenna location ?

I have plans on buying the new 3G phone, never had the first phone. But just wondering --- where is the antenna ? When I was in the store playing around with the phone it was very busy so did not have to talk to sales. I don't see it on the top of the phone like other models. If not on the top, where is it and ---- does the location cause a signal problem ?

Thanks,
Bob

I was pretty sure that I read somewhere that the Bezel and the metal rings around the camera and the headphone jack were connected to the antenna to strengthen the signal. Is this the case? I'll see if I can find the reference.

Yeah, here it is:

More wireless. Less space.

iPhone 3G delivers UMTS, HSDPA, GSM, Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPS, and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR in one compact device — using only two antennas. Clever iPhone engineering integrates those antennas into a few unexpected places: the metal ring around the camera, the audio jack, the metal screen bezel, and the iPhone circuitry itself. And intelligent iPhone power management technology gives you up to 5 hours of talk time over 3G networks. That’s some of the best in the business.

Here is its location:

Lots of misinformation in here.

The post to the official antenna announcement is correct. It is NOT on the back lower part like the original iPhone.

It is in the metal bezal around the front of the iPhone, it is in the metal rings surrounding the camera and the headset jack, and in several other internal areas.

It's one of the reasons some people are having trouble with reception and stuff -- covering the metal bezel entirely with their hands, etc. Good to know where it is.
