Apple, please fix this. TIA
After upgrading Photoshop Elements from V3.0 to V4.0, iTunes (5.0.1) no longer finds Photoshop. The iTunes documentation says it support PE 3.0 and higher, but apparently 4.0 breaks it. Any ideas?

same problem here: I am using iTunes 6.0 German and Photoshop Elements 4.0 German. It is not possible anymore to sync my photos. The option "photoshop elements" is not longer shown in the iPod Photo config dialog.

I am having the same problem. Everything was working fine with Elements 3.0. I recently upgraded to Elements 4.0 and iTunes no longer recognizes it. Apple please help with this issue.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 is still NOT supported by iTunes 6.0.1 for Windows.
My hope was, that Apple has fixed this in the bug fix release 6.0.1 😟

Same here, i was hoping 6.0.1 would get this problem resolved. Unfortunately it doesnt. It would be good to have Apple at least acknowledge the problem and make a statement with an ETA for the fix.
I upgraded to Elements 4.0 from Album 2 due to the improved organising and editing. I am feeling very hard done by right now since I did not see that only Elements 3.0 was supported in iTunes.
Adobe do not seem to be doing anything about this either (I see csrx has also tried both forums).

Yeah, I've tried both the Adobe and Apple forums. I was hoping somebody would get back to me with some kind of info, acknowledgment, etc. but nothing so far.
It's supposed to work with Elements 3 and up, but thats not the case.
Lets keep our fingers crossed.

OK, I found a way to solve this problem. Hopefully is going to be fixed in a new version.
Basically the problem is that the registry location of the catalog is different between 4.0 and 3.0. Luckily iTunes doesn’t have any problems reading the Catalog file for 4.0.
WARNING 1: If you have never used regedit before, then this trick is probably not for you.
WARNING 2: Is a good idea to make a backup of the registry before changing it.
1) Create the Key "3.0" under HKEY LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Photoshop Elements
2) Create the Key "Organizer" under the Key "3.0" you created in the last step
3) Create 2 String Values under Organizer:
CurrentDatabaseName
CurrentDatabasePath
4) Enter the name of your catalog file in the first one and the path in the second one.
Tips:
1) You can copy the values from the Key for 4.0 if you didn’t change the default location of the Catalog, otherwise you have to look in HKCU for the right ones (or in Photoshop Elements)
2) If it doesn’t work, try with or without the extension .psa for the "CurrrentDatabaseName" Value
ENJOY!

Is there a way for the itunes 6.0.1 to categorize the photos using the tags in Photoshop elements (version 4) ? It would be nice if you could access photos by category like you can with music (i.e. by artist, album, genre for music and my people, places, events for photos).
Does anybody know if this is possible?

I guess I should clarify my last posting. I am a brand new Photoshop Elements user and I have not been able to find any documentation regarding to what extent itunes/ipod autosyncs with photoshop elements 4. I just imported my first batch of photos and started tagging. I have not created any collections yet.
After I modified regedit and got my ipod to autosync with photoshop elements, the photos show up on my ipod but under Photos-->Photo Library-->Feb2040 all of them are bunched together with no organization.
Is this how it is supposed to work or do I need to do something else (like separate photos into collections?)
Thanks!

You are right, this is how it works. If you want to have some sort of groups you need to put the photos in different collections.
I like your Idea though...hopefully we will see something like that in future versions...

Hi Yedpod,
thank for for your help. Your suggestion has worked for me with iTunes 6.0.1 and PSE 4.0.
Now I have upgraded to iTunes 6.0.2 and my photo collections are not recognized anymore.
Any new suggestions about this?
TIA
Henrik

I tried the fix involving regedit. It worked partially in that it made Photoshop Elements appear in the drop down list of options next to the Synchronize button in the photo options. However, if I select this choice, the button for "Select collections" is greyed out, and I can only select the upper button which will copy ALL photos and collections. This would be bad because I have over 10,000 photos in Elements. I only want to synch certain collections.
Any ideas?
