iTunes doesn't recognize Photoshop Elements 4.0

After upgrading Photoshop Elements from V3.0 to V4.0, iTunes (5.0.1) no longer finds Photoshop. The iTunes documentation says it support PE 3.0 and higher, but apparently 4.0 breaks it. Any ideas?

OK, I found a way to solve this problem. Hopefully is going to be fixed in a new version.

Basically the problem is that the registry location of the catalog is different between 4.0 and 3.0. Luckily iTunes doesn’t have any problems reading the Catalog file for 4.0.

WARNING 1: If you have never used regedit before, then this trick is probably not for you.
WARNING 2: Is a good idea to make a backup of the registry before changing it.

1) Create the Key "3.0" under HKEY LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Photoshop Elements
2) Create the Key "Organizer" under the Key "3.0" you created in the last step
3) Create 2 String Values under Organizer:
CurrentDatabaseName
CurrentDatabasePath
4) Enter the name of your catalog file in the first one and the path in the second one.

Tips:
1) You can copy the values from the Key for 4.0 if you didn’t change the default location of the Catalog, otherwise you have to look in HKCU for the right ones (or in Photoshop Elements)
2) If it doesn’t work, try with or without the extension .psa for the "CurrrentDatabaseName" Value

I guess I should clarify my last posting. I am a brand new Photoshop Elements user and I have not been able to find any documentation regarding to what extent itunes/ipod autosyncs with photoshop elements 4. I just imported my first batch of photos and started tagging. I have not created any collections yet.

After I modified regedit and got my ipod to autosync with photoshop elements, the photos show up on my ipod but under Photos-->Photo Library-->Feb2040 all of them are bunched together with no organization.

Is this how it is supposed to work or do I need to do something else (like separate photos into collections?)
Thanks!

I tried the fix involving regedit. It worked partially in that it made Photoshop Elements appear in the drop down list of options next to the Synchronize button in the photo options. However, if I select this choice, the button for "Select collections" is greyed out, and I can only select the upper button which will copy ALL photos and collections. This would be bad because I have over 10,000 photos in Elements. I only want to synch certain collections.

Any ideas?
