photos wont rotate auto

Hi

i have had my iphone 3g for 2 days and for some reason, since charging it overnight, the photos wont rotate when i rotate the iphone. Is there something in the options i have turned off or is this a problem?

Will it rotate the screen in anything else? Like Safari and while playing music?
