My ipod got stuck on the apple logo, i've tried resetting it like 12 times, then I connected to the computer, it reads it but then itunes gets frozen, and its still stuck on the same screen.
have you put the ipod into recovery mode,, and then connected it to the computer, if you do it right it should say itunes detected an ipod in recovery mode and prompt you to restore.
I had the same problem. Sounds like you may need to put your Touch into `recovery` mode. Turn your Touch off then while holding JUST the Home button on the Touch, plug it into your computer. Keep holding the Home button (on the iPod) until something appears on your iPods screen. After this, iTunes should recognise your iPod and offer to do a full restore for you.
I've had the same thing happen to me. I've tried for the past day and I've had no luck with it. The ipod crashed right after i downloaded an app. I've been seeing many postings today with people having the same problem...it makes me wonder if there is possibly something wrong w.some apps or one in particular.
I cant get my ipod to work so I guess I'm going to the Apple Store.
I got my ipod to work after restoring was which is a big pain in the @ss....I'm certain that is was a downloaded app that did this. Apple...the buyers are loyal to your products...Fix this in your app store with the developers...This was a huge inconvience!
I'm on my third restore since last night. It just keep getting stuck! I'm going to try one more time then off to the Apple store, I really can't take this anymore. I just want the darn thing to work! *Apple should NEVER EVER talk about the problems Microsoft have EVER again, I have NEVER had this many problem with any of my PC in 15 years! This SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
In Apple's defense, I'm sure some of the problems are due to buggy apps! But, they should do a better job screening these developers especially since Apple will take the rap for a non working Iphone or Ipod Touch.
This really is terrible, I can't use my Ipod and it is really ******* me off.
I had the same problem and I took my iPod Touch to the Genius Bar. They replaced my iPod with a new one without really knowing what the problem was. Its only been a few days and the same problem is having once again....It definitely is an application issue. Per the recommendation made by a person that had the same problem, I am restoring my iPod right now. It is taking a very long time just to reset itself.... This is a very big waste of time and frustrating for all iPod owners. Also, it must be costing Apple $$$ to replace for those having this same issue. I am hesitant on re-installing my apps, nor puchasing new ones... This should be considered a serious matter. Apple definitely needs to investigate immediately to resolve this issue.
Someone suggested, installing one app at a time. This might help to identify the offending app. I really don't want to get a new Ipod, I'm not sure that would help and there is no telling what problems I would get with the new Ipod.
The app I'm having issue with would probably be different than the one you are having issue with. You should try installing them one by one and you will find out which one is giving you the problem.
