Softbank Japan - International prefix calls (010) and national calls (+)
Softbank is the official carrier for the iPhone in Japan. It seems however that their are unable to map the "+" sign for international calling. It means basically that you have to input the 010 then the country code to call abroad from Japan.
This is very problematic, as I would like my address book to be internationally compatible and use the "+" sign for all my contacts.
Furthermore, if I put a japanese phone with either the "+" or the 010, it won't be recognized when the caller calls me...
So, I've got a Softbank issue (they do not recognize the + sign for calls) and an Apple one (the software doesn't seem to recognize a national number if the + is in the contact info)
The only solution right now is to input all the numbers multiple times: japanese ones with the + and without. International ones with the + and the 010.
It's very annoying, to say the least.
Anyone know of a solution or an app that can map the various numbers ?
Cheers
