Importing VBR.MP3 files into IPOD ?

Haven't been able to figure out how to do this. These files are live shows from archive.org. I have no problem importing them into ITUNES and setting up playlists but I cannot figure out how to get them on my IPOD because they do not transfer during the sync process either automatically or manually. Please help!

I had this problem a while back... I'm on a PC, and for me it worked to download a program called VBRFIX... (just do a google search, it comes right to the top)... Apparently sometime VBR headings don't get written correctly, depending on the software used to rip the audio. This worked like a champ, and just to be safe, I ran all my files through it.
