It takes forever to boot up...

Hi,

On my Macbook 2.0 it tooks about 70sec to bootup Windows XP. It's similar to my old P3 1000 notebook. What makes it so slow?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.11), 2.0 1GB

Does the 70 seconds start with the appearance of the black Windows screen and the traveling bar or before that? When I boot holding the option key and then switch from the Mac partition to the Win partition and press return I see a delay of 20-25 seconds before the Win screen appears. After that it boots fast. But that initial step when BootCamp is doing its BIOS imitation is pretty long.

55sec from black screen (after bios emulation) to welcome screen and then another 30sec to get system ready. It's faster on my old P3 1000 laptop 😟.
