Until the iPhone is freed from the clutches of that most despicable corporate criminal enterprise AT&T (of warrantless wiretapping & retroactive immunity fame), I will make do with my touch iPod and a tiny folding cell phone.

OK - I was wrong. It does locate me 80% of the time within 55 feet when I use InstaMapper GPS Tracker (Excellent FREE app). Sometimes it is 29 feet other times 155 feet, but never more than that. I was hoping to use it for my golf to tell me the distance to the flag, but 55 feet could be the difference between the front and the back of the green and could make club selection tricky. Looks like I will have to stick with the yardage markers on the sprinkler heads 🙂

About to do the upgrade now, and will update this afterwards.

Yikes.... 2.0.2 installed...still showing one bar with 3G, but even worse download speeds:

The funny thing is that I updated to 2.0.2. MY Friend didnt, and we did a side by side comparison of loading the same web page.

when i dial 3001#12345# again and try to get it to go away, the dbm is still able to be shown in the top left if you, 1. tap the bars, or 2. restart the phone and it is automatically there on startup

Is it just me or did they take up the update all apps option in the app store?
