MobileMe, address book not syncing

I have an iMac intel, iBook, and iPod touch.
All 3 successfully sync and push with MobileMe EXCEPT the address book on my iMac.
I checked all sync settings, deleted all contacts on the iMac, created test cards, deleted plists, etc but nothing works.
So, I created a new user on my iMac named TEST. In System Preferences I registered the TEST user to MobileMe. Then I reset the Advanced options sync data so that the MobileMe contacts would go to the computer. This worked.
So, something is corrupting Contacts syncing on my user account. But other users are OK.
How can I solve this problem?

Same problem with my father's Address Book. Solved it by removing the file in the AppSupport/AddBook/ folder as indicated earlier.

This resulted in AddressBook rebuilding its data file WITHOUT the corrupted groups.

A shortcut for rebuilding your Groups is as follows:

* BEFORE you trash the .abcddb file, create a folder on your Desktop
Drag each of your Groups from AB into this folder, creating a vCard of each (you CAN drag them all at once, but DON'T - you need to be able to restore them individually and if you drag them at once, a single vCard is created)

* Quit AddressBook
* Trash the offending .abcddb file
* Launch AddressBook

Repeat the following for each Group vCard you backed up:

* Drag the vCard from the Desktop into the "Name" column of AddressBook. This will import the data back into your AB. Choose to Update Existing and do so for ALL.
* Before doing anything else, Create a new Group and give it the name as that which was just imported
* Select "Last Import" in the Groups column
* Click into the Names column to activate it
* Edit > Select All to select all the recently imported Contacts
* Drag the selection into the newly created Group

Resetting the AB data as prescribed in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1497 did no good. Any suggestions welcome.
