iphone configuration web utility

Hi all,

I am trying to install iphone configuration web utility and it is giving me a error i have full rights on my vista machine.
the error messages, " service 'apple iphone confiuration web utility' failed to start verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

again. I on a vista machine.

Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Is this when installing or trying to use? I did not see this error when I installed on XP machine, but I did see it when i forgot how to access the program and double clicked on the exe instead of going to the url. I installed weeks back, then went to go try it out but at first forgot it was webbased 😉.

is when it is at 90% complete on installation. it seems the services are denying me from starting the web utility services. I am running a internal proxy. But how what permission do i need to grant.

hmm. not sure, you said you have full system rights so I can't imagine its that, though it sounds like it from the error your getting. I just looked at the service on my pc and it's set to logon as the local system account. Maybe try mucking with that setting to see if you can use that, if its not set that way already, or try a few other admin accounts that may be setup on your system. Is there any other messages in the event viewer pertaining to that service failing to start?

thanks for the post yea i trying intsalling outside of the network. it works! But what kind of configuration on the proxy do i have to put to make this work inside the network.
I have iprisim st. benard as my proxy server.

Hi, sorry i am not sure. I don't work with that, I just installed on my local pc to see if would be able to give me more functionality such as increased pwd length, etc.. Hopefully someone else will be able to chime in.

According apple it a internal policy that is blocking the serices to be installed. but I don't know what kind of policy that will block configuration utilty services. again i need help. we are running windows 2003 r2 with active directory policy are set standard settings.
