Mpeg and .MP4 videos won't add to my iPod video.

Hey,
I have a 30 gig video iPod and a bunch of videos in my iTunes video section. When I go to add them to my iPod it says it cannot be added because it doesn't support those formats. Some of these are mpegs, some are .mp4's but oddly enough I had success adding a much larger mpeg a while ago. I'm kind of lost here.

I tried looking in other topics to no avail though it may be right in front of my eyes I'm just a bit confused as of now.

Do I have to convert these

This movie was run through Compressor2 & dropped into the itunes library, then dragged to the ipod video list.

Try it but also do "movie info" to check the specs.
the data rate is about 660kbps, I originally thought it was 300 kbps.

No, the data rate actually reads 213.74 kbps @ 15 fps and the file size is 654.14 KB. Any particular reason your chose a 240 x 180 video format and 22.050 kHz audio?

Meets requirements for iPod, plays well, and actually looks better than I expected it to.

Ok, so it worked. I added it to my ipod. thanks.

now im trying to convert my other videos and it takes anywhere from 45min to well over an hour depending on the length. is there anything that's faster? or changes I can make to quicktime??
