iPhone stuck on apple screen

Yesterday I was playing with my 3G iphone and when I tried to update an app via the wireless connection it froze on me. I tried to reset it to no luck, I did the soft reset and then the hard reset ans nothing it keeps showing the apple start screen. I left it on and it ran out of battery. After I charge it same result. When I connect it to the computer it vibrates about 3 times and then it just crashes iTunes. What can I do to get it to start?

Thanks

Mac Pro 8 Core, Mac OS X (10.4.10), 16 gb Ram, 2 30" Monitors

Its funny how this issue is so widespread now, that everyone finally admits its a real issue. We were hammering this issue early on and people called us nuts 🙂

The iPhone is broken.

Its a bad device. Apple has killed the fun in using an iPhone. The constant 3 hour backup times and the constant apple death logo....

This is just not a good device anymore. Its not FUN to use an iphone. This is a huge disaster.

Apple needs to fix this, or else this kind of "quality" should be the death of the iphone. I dont get why major news outlets like CNN arent blasting Apple for their terribly expensive iphone that doesnt work right.

I don't get it either. I've emailed this news to CNN, the AP, Walt Mossberg - lots of media outlets - still, nothing. How very disappointing.

I have the exact same problem and want to fix it using restore however my phone isn't being recognized in the device list. It doesn't matter how long its plugged in for. It showed up once yesterday and I don't know how but I didn't have time to restore then. Now I keep trying and it won't show up. As soon as I unplug the phone it will show up really quickly while it's unplugged (like one second) and then dissappear. I try to plug it back in really quickly but it doesn't work. Any help or suggestions please?
