iPhone 3G vs iPhone measurement

did anyone can tell me the measurement for the old iPhone and the new iPhone 3G?

im planning to buy the LV iphone cover.. but it said cannot fit in iPhone 3G.. but see thru pics with the comparison for iPhone 3G vs old iPhone.. it look like not much different.. is that a huge different? thanks..

I don't know the exact measurements for both phones, but I'm sure they are on the net somewhere.

I have my original iPhone and 3G in front of me... Not a great deal of difference in size, but fundamentally the difference between the two is the shape, rather than size. The 3G is a lot more curved, especially the back.

I wouldn't risk an original case on a 3G... Wait till they release a 3G version, or alternatively look for a different case.

In addition to the size difference, which some 'stretchy' cases don't have a problem with, the locations of the sensors (proximity, ambient light) on the front of the iPhone 3G are different from the original iPhone, so you should get a case designed for the 3G.

Google is your friend.

It will find, oh, probably 500 different models of covers and cases for your iphone 3g in one tenth of the time you have spent asking questions about dimensions on this forum.

You've heard of google right? Its book marked in your Iphone web bookmarks.
give it a try. Key in "iphone 3g" case and shop till you drop.
