PROBLEM WITH JBL ON STAGE III

I have an iPod classic 80GB and a JBL On Stage III loud speaker for the iPod. I've just noticed that when I'm playing videos on my iPod while it's in the speaker, the videos skip frequently. My iPod doesn't skip while I have my earphones on (or at all!), so I suspect it's the speakers that are doing the trouble.

Any help, suggestions, or concurrences are welcomed.

I also have the JBL Onstage, plus the JBL alarm clock. The only thing I can think of for you is to check the little plastic piece that helps to dock the iPod in the speaker. When I bought my 160, I had to change that piece because it didn't fit the same as it did for the 60. Some of the skipping stopped, but not all of it.

Oh, that's interesting. I never would have thought of that. The problem is, I don't have a dock, I just stick my iPod in there. Okay, now I see my problem,
