Ipod touch fully drained now wont turn on? please help

So today i woke up and saw my ipod touch had 10%battery left. i let it keep playing and the battery fully drained, since it was morning i had to go somewhere so i left it without connecting it to my usb. when i got back home and i connected it to my usb nothing happened the screen did not turn on to show the charge level, still i feel the ipod geting warm when its connected so that means its charhing right? so do i have to wait till its fully charged so i can see the screen?

That is exactly what im trying to do lol. Well Im kinda busy today and will be out of town on Sunday so hopefully i can get an apointment for Monday. Are they open on Monday anyways? well either way i hope theres still a slot open for me because i will only be able to be 100% sure on Sunday night if i can go or not the following day.

Now hopefully everything goes well and i get a free replacement and i can probably be confident enough to buy another ipod if this experience turns out good.
