Today I noticed that there a few light blue shining dots on my iPhone 3G screen. The pattern is random and the stay at the same place no matter which application is open at a time. First I thought they were burned out pixels, but when I compare them to the size of the actual pixels, they maybe 1/6 of the size, it's actually hardly noticeable, but still, it's there. Now, my size comparison is based on the assumption that a pixel is a one little square of the screen separated from the others by black lines (a grid) which you can see only if you look really close. You think it might be burned out pixels? Shall I have it replaced?
MacBook Pro 15'' 2.4 Penryn, iPod Classic 80GB, iPhone 3G 16GB,
Mac OS X (10.5.4)
No problem.
I don't think Steve himself reads them, but from what I read online, these are the PR addresses that customers are supposed use when they want to contact Steve. According to some websites, they should be checked by Steve's office staff or high-level customer services employees. So far no respond.
Going to YouTube and searching for "pixel fixer" on your iPhone (or iPod Touch) might help. I had two little pixels on my screen that were stuck or burned in, and it fixed one of them. Unfortunately not both. I guess I'm just stuck with the other one now unless anyone has any better ideas. This is happening on my iPod Touch and when I connect it to the computer, the pixels aren't there, but when I have it turned on outside the computer, they appear. Strange. Thanks for all the help.
