Hi. I bought a Mac Pro quad 2,66 with 5 Gb ram for about a year ago. Everything works well, but after 2-3 hours the Exhaust and CPU fan starts to raise and when checking iStat it stays at about 3000 rmp for Exhaust and CPU. The noise is bad...This happens even if the Mac is not in use (any programs running) The temperature inside the Mac is low - about 30 degrees (Celcius) and the fans do not slow down until i restart the Mac. I have tried the Reset of the SMC. There is no difference after resetting the SMC....
Any suggestions??
How is it possible that simply removing the gfx card, and putting it back in turns off the power tool noise for about half a day? What is up with that?
I suppose whenever I need to make music I just take apart the tower and spend 20 mins unscrewing stuff. Thats why I bought a mac pro. Not so I could record sounds but so I could spend my time working out how to stop sounds coming from the very recording device and be a computer technician. Silly me... what was I thinking.
