Is iTunes down?

App store isnt working in GA, if you add a app to the shopping cart it doesnt show up .. Then it says that Itunes isnt available

I can also confirm that it is out in GA still. I was able to connect from my iPhone to the store and browse, but as soon as i try to buy anything, i get the "iTunes is Unavailable" error. Funny thing is, being persistant, i was able to get one song purchased and downloaded today, but just once out a lot of tries.

i don't know but it might as well be because every time i try to open a window pops up saying '' itunes is experiencing problems try again later and it's been about 4 days now can someone help??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Still not working for me. More specifically, the updating Apps area.

No access in Brooklyn. Both iPhone and Mac. Mac reads 'make sure your network connection is active and try again.' Obviously, my network connection is active.

I am in Gabon (Centra Africa) using a Belgian account and I am unable to access the iTunes store from my iMac for the past two days.

The weird thing is that if I use my Windows laptop I can access the store without any problems (Windows Vista).

At the office I was also able to connect to the Belgian store from my PC (Windows XP).

What gives? Is Apple suddenly favoring Windows applications??

I'm getting that the error 5002 now when I click on get updates for apps.

I'm on iTunes 8

iTunes also not connecting from here in New Zealand... Getting an error saying "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

I hope the new Genius feature isn't hitting the iTunes servers so bad that they can't handle it. Another MobileMe would be a nightmare!

Fixed my own problem - looks like the OpenDNS servers that I was using in my network connection was stopping iTunes from connecting properly. Reverting to the default works fine.

Look in your apps window.

You will find an app or some apps that do not have a proper icon. (but just a standard black icon with an application logo)

i deleted those Apps which icons where not displaying properly, on my itunes.

Error 5002 is no longer appearing!

Excellent solution, thanks archomium. I'd been getting this error since I updated to itunes 8 and had to search for individual updates. Having followed your suggestion of deleting apps with just the black icon, I'm no longer getting the 5002 message and the updates link is working fine - nice one!
