Connecting iPod to Logitech Z680 Speakers

Hi everyone

Just got my white 30GB ipod today and bought the monster cable to connect to the Logitech Z680 speaker system. I don't think the monster cable is the correct one for the Logitech system as it has one jack which plugs into the universal dock which I am using and on the other end there are 2 plugs which would appear to plug into an amp.

I have looked at the Logitech manual and I need a single plug to plug into the auxiliary jack on the soundtouch control centre. Can anyone suggest the correct cable to use?

I don't know much about the Z680 but with my Z5500 I can use the use a standard aux cable to go between the control center to the ipods audio jack or use a 3 plug connect to a single connector and connect it to the audiojack.

I know going through the headphone jack is not ideal but It could work.

I figured it out. I need a 3.5mm m/m mini stereo cable which I'm picking up today from my local hi-fi dealers. Hopefully there will be lots of sound tonight from my ipod via the Logitech speakers.

Great set, the logitech z680. I have mine hooked up to my Airport express in my livingroom to stream music from my ipod to them.

But the jack should help you connect it indeed. You can plug it into the front port of the control console or one of the 3 back ports (i would plug it in the 'center' one)
