firewall an mysql
I have a problem with the built in firewall: I set up a MacMini as a webserver using Leopard client and activated php and mysql. When I tried to connect from another Mac to the mysqld the connection timed out. As I don't want to leave this Mini visible in the Internet without firewall, I cannot switch the firewall off, so I added a rule to allow incoming connections for the mysqld.
Unfortunately the log-file still shows connection denied for mysqld... With other apps this works fine, so does anybody have an idea why not with mysql?
thanks and greetings
