480x480 Video

THe latest version of Videora supports 480x480 video in Mpeg4. I converted some 4:3 fullscreen tv shows and the resolution is greatly increased, as is file size but something looks a bit off, is 480x480 a 4:3 resolution? I wonder what it will look like on the pod?

480 pixels x 480 pixels is a square. If you take a video that was recorded in a 4:3 ratio (480x320 = rectangle) and force it to play at 480x480 it will probably look distorted.
