NEED Serious Help with JVC GZ-HD3U. Please.

Alright I have just under 2 days to finish this Media Project for school. My group recorded the whole thing and now my JVC Everio GZ-HD3U is giving me problems.

Before I could easily uploaded everything to the Mac. No problem. Then I went to school, plugged the camcorder with a firewire into one of the school's Mac computers and the screen said "No Connection". So then I go home thinking I could just upload it there and put it on a CD. I get there and the camera isn't even showing up! The import button doesn't show up or anything! And I'm pretty sure I didn't mess with any of the settings on the camcorder. The only thing I can think of...was that I had the camcorder in my bag...maybe it hit the ground a couple times? Could it affect it in that way?

PLEASE someone help me out.

I guess, it translates literally from Japanese as 'we're leavin' ...' (no 'me' in Japanese afaik)

.. we knew a Dutchman who had taught himself Danish by watching endless cartoons in the 'Knold og Tot' series over a period of years.
Now, his Danish was, well, different. Too many sound effects! 😀

reminds me of an old joke,
'where did you learn German?'
'.. by pffff listening zzzz Deutsche Welle töö via zmzmzmzm shortwave radio...'

Did you ever Figure out how to fix this because I jsut recently purchased a Apple Mac Pro and I have a JVC Everio GZ-HD3u Camcorder also and In tried installing the disc that came with the camera and it gives me error messages, and doesn't even complete the installation. Let me know If you find anything out, because it's killing me not being able to edit my movies!

Rather than revive an old thread, you should start your own, for better response.

The software included with your cam is for the "dark side" computers only. If the camcorder is one that is compatible with the Mac software chosen, there is nothing else needed.

In your case, using iMovie HD6, you can ONLY use miniDV camcorders connected via Firewire.

iMovie 08 will work with other formats of cams, but only if it is on the Apple compatibility list and I don't see yours there.
