black dock??

Haven't seen one, and you definitely haven't missed it. The only dock listed on the Apple store for video iPods is the white Universal Dock.

You'll get the latest info on new releases of accessories and docks by browsing iLounge or some other iPod related website.

BTW, I was looking for the very same thing a couple of days ago — nothing so far.

I haven't seen a black dock offered by Apple, but a company named DLO makes one. It's a remote controlled version as well.

It's gonna be difficult for a while to find black accessories of any kind, whether we're talking about docks or other kinds. The DLO dock mentioned earlier is the only dock I've seen in black (well, black sides but a steel gray top). I'm certain that more will show up within a few months. Keep checking www.ilounge.com for news about it. They seem to be on the lookout for black accessories.

I'm curious.... do the black iPod's come with black earbuds, or the signature white ones?

I just ordered the Universal Dock from Apple, as they have reduced shipping time down to 5-7 days. There is someone selling them on Ebay right now, but kind of price gouging.

So, the earbuds with the black iPod are still white too?

Is the dock adaptor the same size as well?

I am going to be selling my 30gb white as soon as the black one gets here, and I was thinking of just putting the unopened accessories pouch (from the 60gb package)in with the 30gb when I sell it, as long as all the stuff is the same...

All the stuff will be the same. The only exception, I think, will be the little adapter for the universal dock. I would think the adapter that comes with the 30GB version will be a little smaller to match the slimmer iPod.

Earbuds are white for both models.

I wouldnt be surprised if some 3rd party wasnt goign to soon offer a black dock for the 5g ipod. Maybe keep a eye on griffin technology for sometihng liek that. I personally would like to see a black AV cable offered. And the white headphones could be replaced by any other black headphones on the market.
