iPod cuts off in the middle of SOME songs

When playing my iPod, it cuts off in the middle of certain songs, and skips to the next songs. Some songs it won't play at all.

These songs all play in their entirety in iTunes.

Any idea what's causing this/how to fix it?

I wish I shared your optimism. It seems, to me, that Apple is content to just ignore this issue.

The same problem here since a year ago, from the first day I bought my Classic 160.

This is not the case for me.

I've tried this in the past (and just checked again to be sure) and none of those boxes are checked.

It's definitely an Apple software issue.

Thanks Will, I gave this a shot, but it didn't fix my problem. It did cause the song to play longer, but it still ended up cutting off.

My iPod sometimes pauses in the midlle of the songs and i have to touch the play key in order to restart the song.Anybody has this problem the solution?

Bumping this back up to the top as im still having this pain in the arse issue that apple just refuses to even let us know whats going on. HELLLOOOO

to be honest, i think if anyone is still under warranty to get a refurbished one. my ipod does the same thing. it's annoying. my friend tells me it is probably a hardware probably..

foo_pod is out of date - foo_dop is the one to search for/use.
