Bluetooth Hands free car - Audi A4

Hi

Just wondering if antone else has had problems with the bluetooth connection with their Audi A4. Although the phone still connects I cant access the contacts on the phone, though before the update I could no problem. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I've had a long, unsatisfying email chat with Audi's 'customer care' folks. They claim, 1. the iPhone 3G is 'not compatible' with Audi's Bluetooth implementation, and, 2. they "do not advertise" any iPhone connectivity with Audi vehicles!!! So, many of us, I guess, are delusional.

Ever more disturbing, neither Audi, or Apple have shown any interest whatsoever in correcting this problem.

I've experienced bluetooth stability issues with OS 2.1 upgrade also. However, my problem is different to the one you're experiencing.

I use a Blueant Supertooth Light speakerphone and found new problems that were once stable (and perfect) with previous OS versions 2.0, 2.0.1 and 2.0.2. It's got me buggered how a bug fix update actually introduced new bugs.

I've read quite a few comments from people having a lot of bluetooth issues with OS 2.1. If you care, more details of my bluetooth problem can be found at:

I am still on 2.0, but I could not get my contacts to sync at first either. I saw these steps listed in another discussion, tried it, and my contacts synced on the first try after that:

1) Unpair your iPhone from the Audi.
2) Clear your call lists on your iPhone.
3) Start your car.
4) Pair the iPhone with your Audi again.
5) Wait three of four minutes.

This worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you, too.

Ok. Just picked up my 2009 A4 Premium and had the same problems as everyone else: BT pairing went without a hitch and I could make calls and see my "Recently called" list but no phone book.
I tried unpairing and then repairing after resetting the A4 phone but no luck.
Then I tried deleting my call history on the iPhone as per a suggestion on another thread here and then re-paired with the A4....Voila! Phone book comes up perfectly.
I'm with a 3G iPhone with 2.1 firmware on Rogers in Canada.
