alpine ida-x001 and 120gb classic = blurry cover art

Help ! User uploaded file Just bought this for my car and noticing low resolution on the alpine head unit. Previously had 1st gen nano and cover art was nice and crisp. I've learned from doing research that this has been an issue with the older classics as well. Alpine tech support says that apple addressed this in a firmware for the older cklassics but did not tell me firmware version. IS this true? I have found no info to support this.

Apple are you listening ? Can anyone shed some light on this ? Its a shame to pay this much money on a head unit that is supposed to be Apple compatable and have stupid problems like this. Frustrating.

Thank you many times for your answer.
You are going to find it funny but the other day, as I was tidying up some stuff, I fell upon the black cable provided by Alpine. I tried it in place of the white one provided with the iPod and IT WORKED (as you said).
I would have never guessed there could be a difference between both cables. How comes?
Have you got an answer?

Anyway, now it's working and this is what counts to me

Regards

Joseph
