MIDI setup for Roland TD-3 on Logic

MIDI setup for Roland TD-3 on Logic

I have tried and tried and i can't do it. Ok i have the roland td-3 electric drum set and i want to set it for logic 8 via midi i have done it with audio it suck. My problem is that i cant find the device when i go to midi device setup. the td-3 is not on the list and i don't know what to do. Someone anyone help!

Mac book pro 15", Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Hi,

Have you set it up in Audio Midi Utility (in /Applications/Utitlities) as well? Are there drivers (to be) installed?

I guess i have to install or download the utility for the td-3 because it is not one of the choices on the list that is already there.

Hi Cloud,

Well, I made a wrong assumption. I thought it had a built in MIDI interface, but it hasn't.
You have to connect your TD3 via MIDIin/out to a MIDI interface that in turn is connected to your computer. THAT interface will then show up in AM utility. So the 1st question is: do you have a MIDI-interface?

Yes I do i have the M box 2 connected to my computer and the drumset connected midi I/O. Still nothing shows up in the audio midi setup this blows. **** you logic!!! Help me!

Hi Clouddps,

Do you have drivers for the M box installed? Are they the right drivers for your machine/OS combination?
