first i went to easy setup then selected DV-NTSC, then i created a new DV sequence.I tried to output that to tape but my Sony GV-HD700 playback deck didn't seem to record the project.
I noticed during the playback process that the project was not being transferred to tape, it was only being displayed on my computer and not the playback machine as it normally should. Although i saw the record button on during playback.
Maybe its the settings on my playback deck. But is there anything else that i should be doing in final cut? Then i will know for sure.
Be sure to check the "easy setup" settings to verify that they include a provision for writing the file. Sometimes the output settings are not set up. Read the settings.
Check specifically the settings for "playback output video." If "none" is indicated, that is likely the problem. Make sure your camera is in playback mode and turned on when easy setup is checked.
My "playback output video" settings are indeed set to: Apple Fire Wire(720 * 480). However I noticed from an earlier post Tom Wolsky said to "edit the HD sequence to play in the DV sequence". Was there was something I was suppose to do other than copy from the HD sequence and paste into the DV sequence?
