Can iPod nano use the dock connector of iPod

Absolutely! The Nano works on the standard IPOD dock for 20 & 40 gig Pods, and also on the Bose Sound Dock. You don't need any special inserts either, as the Nano fits nice and snug on the 30 pin connector.

Maybe, I should have asked an earlier question here... does the adaptor that comes with the Nano work on these to fit it nicely into the dock (I assuming that there is a reason for the adaptor). Also, do you know if I can use the Nano on the Color iPod dock connector? Finally, does the iPod Color work on the standard dock connectors, too? Thanks in advance, Robert

My Nano works fine on my iPod Dock. Not sure how safe it is but it seems a secure fit. I might get a Nano Dock when they come out - but it does not seem essential.

The little plastic dock adapter which comes with the Nano is useless and not intended to fit the iPod Dock, nor any other existing accessory.

I read that somewhere else also. Very weird in my opinion and a waste. Why package it, when they could have saved costs and maybe upped the storage by 1/2 Gig... okay the plastic adaptor did not cost that much, but I can hope... can't I? LOL 😉

you can use the minidock with the nano it will not fit snug but will work.
