Using Sony A700 with cRaw. Had the same Problem with pictures showing up magenta.
Clem's advice reinstalling RAW-support 2.1 helped me. Everything back to normal.
THANK YOU Clem.

RAW-version2.2 is exactly, where CLEM said:
Main-HD(or whatever your bootdrive is named)/System/Library/CoreServices/RawCamera.bundle
To delete your asked for admin.
The whole story you can find in Clem's reply dated 17.09.08
the workaround again here as a copy
Delete the file: System/Library/CoreServices/RawCamera.bundle then (re)install the previous version.

It may be, that some preview-pictures stay corrupted. you have to rebuild them with the appropriate action from the pictures menu (may be not exactly, I'm using german version)

Had a Problem with pictures showing up magenta coloured in Aperture. Could not find anything in troubleshooting with Aperture. The solution (workaround) is buried in the following discussion thread:

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/digitalcamerarawcompatibilityupdate21.htm l

and known since the 17th Sept. The situation is created by a buggy RAW-Support 2.2. Solution: go back to 2.1.

I would like to find such a hint or workaround at a first place together with troubleshooting Aperture, since such problems come up with the apps like Aperture, iPhoto, ...

DOES ANYONE IN APPLE CARE FOR Solutions/hints/workarounds USERS ARE CREATING?

I would have expected, that such an information would have shown up latest 19th Sept on the starting support page of Aperture and iPhoto.

Does anyone have any experience how to move such a situation into the focus of Apple?

OK not to dig up an old post but I am experience the problem stated a few times in this article.

I have a Sony A700 and all shots look fine in camera and when imported into Aperture (RAW FILES) they are converted overexposed. I have took the advice mentioned here deleting the old RAW converter files and reverting to 2.1 and this did not work for me.

Anything else I need to do?

Thanks
Chris
