What did you enter in the configuration?

Click on the INFO tab, click on Send Report.
I think I need to download using "Get Config" on that tab.

Even though it shows chipset as *Intel 631xESB $5000 revision 0...9*
I don't think it has an entry or knows how to probe more than FBDIMM, cpu and hard drive temps, which do seem accurate. And I did create an Event alert if FBDIMM goes over 75C.

From what it reads in on launch:

I haven't entered anything myself but it's reading Dimms HDD's and CPU's. I ticked the Automatic Fan Speed box but have not changed anything else. It shows flames against all entries as follows:
GPU: 56C
FB-DIMM0-0. 75C
FB-DIMM1-0. 59C
FB-DIMM0-1. 79C
FB-DIMM1-1. 57C-58C
FB-DIMM0-2. 74C
FB-DIMM1-2. 65C
FB_DIMM0-3. 72C
FB-DIMM1-3. 65C

In the window above it states it has found:

Does this cast any light?

I haven't got a IMac only the Mac Pro as specified below. The only way I have been able to keep my MP cool when using Windows has been to use Inputremapper as I could not safely use SpeedFan because of the reason in this thread. So all I can say is InputRemapper works on my MP but runs the fans at 1000rpm which is quiet noisey. Don't know if anyone else has had success with an IMac!

Please check out the home site or MacUpdate for what InputRemapper does, or download and resd.

It was first designed for the MacBook. It just happens to work on other systems and no sense going into what a Mac Pro has or does.

Yes, it does force the fans to run faster minimal rate, which is higher than the default base a Mac Pro normally uses but still within reason - and safety.

For OS X fan control, you want to look at program SmcFanControl. There are two versions so be sure to get the right one for your system.
