Backup Mac Os 9

Hi.

I need a backup application to do a backup of my old iMac. I also need to make it run from the external hard disk where I going to save the data.

Is there any good backup application for this situation?

You can use drag & drop in OS 9. Just drag your hard drive's icon on to the external hard drive's icon & the files will be copied.

If the external hard drive is connected via USB, it won't boot. You need to connect via firewire.

That is true but there will probably be a need to re-bless the System Folder by opening it, dragging Finder out, closing System Folder then dropping Finder back on to System Folder.

SilverKeeper is one of the easiest to use, and least expensive - it's free! - back up utilities. (Alas it is not recommended for OS 10.5.) And it is from a reputable company.
