how do you fix error code 2330?

I updated to version 8 and now when i try to open my itunes it tells me error 2330 occured and it couldnt open or something like that

first a window pops up that says please wait while windows configures itunes.then another window pops up that says "the installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. this may indicate a problem with this package. the error code is 2330" Then i press okay and a third window pops up that says "Fatal error during installation"

OK, go to this article and start at the section titled
*General installation troubleshooting*



and go through the steps in order. You have to click on each section for it to expland. If one step gives errors, just go onto the next step.



Also I'd turn off any AV software (like Norton, MsAfee, NOD32, Kapersky) before starting this.
And for the love of god, back up your itunes ITL file....put a copy on your desktop or a USB drive.

Did you expand the section named *Completely remove iTunes and QuickTime*?
Sounds like you got an error on steps 4-5-6 where you rmove iTunes using the Control Panel.




Continue on with step 9,
+In Add or Remove Programs or Programs and Features, remove any iPod Updater applications that are listed in the same fashion as iTunes was removed.+
