Converting Giga Samples in Exs 24

i did this a million times many years ago but i can't recall exactly.
what i have is a giga file for example sam horns.exe i put that in my sampler instruments folder, and what i thought it should show up in exs menu and when selected will convert to exs. but the file isn't showing up to convert. is this a wrong file type .exe or am i doing something else wrong

I think in order for EXS to read/convert it, the file extension must be .gig.

That sounds like the "Sam Horns" install file for Windows.
.exe is an executable file. But not on anything Mac.

On a Windows machine that would probably install the Sam Horns Giga file to the appropriate directory and may even require some type of authorization.

jdredge, yeah i just looked at one of my other giga disks and they all end in .gig
you wouldn't happen to know if the exe file can be made into a giga? not sure why this particular disk is this way. anyway thanks for your help
