Audio Sample Rate OLD Sony VX1000

I am working on a project that was shot on an old Sony VX1000. The audio sample rate is 12-bit 32khz. Can I capture using 44 or 48 khz? If not, will there be a noticeable difference in sound quality on output? Any advice about how to get the best sound for this project is most appreciated.

If you capture at 48, it'll sound like rice krispies.

Best bet, copy the 48k preset, make it 32k and capture and edit at 32k so you don't have to render all the time. When you're done, paste your sequence into a 48k timeline and render.

Upsamples are never perfect. You can stay at 32k if you'd like, but if you're going back to tape, you'll want to upsample first.
