Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

"All Free Apps" is gone!!!!!!!!!

What the ****, I can't browse the free apps any more???? I can't even view all the new apps, they are all missing. I don't want to waste hours scrolling through all the apps through my iphone to try and detect any new apps. This is ridiculous. Not only that, but there are only 4 pages per category, so if I don't search them on a regular basis, I will miss a bunch of newly released apps.

Is this just a ploy to make users spend more money on paid apps?

Either way, I'm not happy, this was one of the reasons that I got an iPhone. Now apple's just screwing with us.

I agree as well! Ive sent feedback to apple - Please guys do the same too... As Mike from Apple Gazette points out, its great you cant review apps anymore unless you have purchased them, but hopefully the remove of the "View All iPhone Apps" was a programming mistake.

Lets hope so - Feedback Apple now! Use Karena S, excellent post link and suggestion 🙂

I submitted the feedback below to http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

I suggest we all do something similar until they address this major oversight!

Feedback submitted:

I am not buying any more apps for my iPhone until you return this link to the app store! I used to spend maybe 10 minutes 2 or 3 times a day checking for new apps by clicking on "all iPhone Apps" and sorting by "Release Date". Since you've recently taken this link off it has made the process of checking for new Apps VERY time consuming and cumbersome. I am boycotting the App store till this CRUCIAL functionality is restored and I am lobbying other iPhone owners to do the same.

While I'm at it...the iPhone has been out for over a year...we've had multiple OS update...where are the following:

1) Turn by Turn Voice directions GPS
2) Copy/Paste
3) SiriusXM app
4) Ability to organize/sort home screen
5) Flash
6) Outlook tasks sync over MobileMe
7) Connection sharing/tethering to laptop
8) Whatever I'm missing but too frustrated to remember right now...

You might not want to be as brusque as this but I'm just frustrated...of course, I never leave home without my sixth appendage, my iPhone.

I totally agree we need to post and complain about this in feedback!! I have just done so myself after I got an email back from support pretty much telling me that we need to leave feedback if we are unhappy with this change and YEAH I AM UNHAPPY with this change! I have NOT and will NOT buy any more apps from the app store because they removed these links. I do not have time to view all these categories , I want to view them all together by the date they were released. So Apple if you want my money put the links back!

*There is NOTHING to fix, they did this on purpose*. I guess it is similar to the way department stores have escalators on opposite sides making you walk to the other side so that you browse the store. They did this in time for the holiday season and the new customers will never know that there was a "free" section, now you are FORCED to look at all the apps finding paid apps before you find a free one which makes people spend more money, it is a genius idea! Apple is VERY clever! What a shame though, you don't need tricks and gimmicks when you have a great product as they do, it just makes them look bad but I don't think they get that at all. If they really wanted to be smart, keep things the way they were and let the people choose what they want to buy especially in this very hard global economy, they would have come out smelling like a rose. Their customers would think more of them instead of less of them as they/we do now. How dumb some companies are by letting their greed actually cut their bottom line! I think their sales will decline but they will never tie it to this, they will just blame it on the economy! I believe the companies that will profit the most going forward in this world are the ones that have INTEGRITY and actually maintain it by putting their customers first! In the long run they will make more money because their customers will continue to believe in their brand while watching the corporate raiders steal everything that isn't nailed down!!!!

*I just don't understand why they don't understand and how these companies can go back to be a bit less greedy!! There is little or no value in products of today as there was in product of yesterday, less for more cost is really getting to be TOOOOOO MUCH!!!*

*Perhaps I'm wrong and Apple NEVER had any integrity to begin with...Who knows!* At least that is what I'm starting to believe! I thought of Apple as innovative, forward thinking and a company you could count on...But now, I'm starting to think they are just like all the rest and they DON'T really care about the customers and they are just out to get the most money from the customers and provide the least amount of value. Apple was my last hope, they took away my Christmas and now I know there really isn't a Santa Claus, Good Fairy or any more good guys left on the planet!

*Please excuse my dramatics but I'm sure you get my point!*

I AM VERRRRY UNHAPPY WITH THIS APPLE..

Why do you pull stunts like this? You are plenty successful, get off your high horse and stop removing stuff like this. It's just dumb. I have at least 500 APPs in my RSS feed that I haven't viewed simply cause its too much of a hassle. I WAS checking DAILY the free apps section, and occasionally buy a paid app. Please put it back. This is a step in the WRONG direction for your company. You make a lot of smart decisions, but removing stuff like this is going to HURT you. Thanks!

Ryan121, your post was written as if you were speaking to Apple employees. We're other users here. In case you didn't see my previous post, please provide feedback to Apple about this. Posting here in discussions won't do much.

Maybe "accessibility" is the best feedback option from the drop-down list.

You can also give them the URL to this page.
