The video camera on my MacBook is no longer working. I have verified the permissions on my computer and also checked that isight is recognized. When I load Photobooth, Ichat, Skype the camera does not turn on (no green lights by the camera. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Hello phraid. I tried what you did, but it was not successful. After loading in Safe Mode, I tried to open Photo Booth. The response was:

"Photo Booth cannot open. The graphics card installed in this computer does not support Photo Booth."

Absolutely bizarre.

I checked with the computer store on my campus, where I bought the machine, and for which I have purchased AppleCare. My contact there advised me to do the following:

call : 1-800-MY-APPLE
ask for Warranty Service
tell them about the problem
let them trouble shoot
ask them for a Warranty repair Case Number

And from there, I would take it to the repair centre on campus.

Your thoughts on why this might be happening? As I said, it's absolutely bizarre. I've had no indication that the camera was failing.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Kind regards.
