Photo beside name in Contacts

I have noticed in commercials and in photos that they show the contacts name with a small photo beside them. This shows up in ads for the contact list - as well as the latest commercial where they show a call coming in. The screen then shows the wallpaper with the name and a small photo on top of the wallpaper.

does anyone know how to get that option set to display the small photos in the contact list or when an incoming call occurs? Or is this just apple marketing magic?

Thanks !

If a photo is assigned to a contact with or on the iPhone, the contact's photo will appear full screen when calling the contact or when receiving a call from the contact.

For a contact's photo to appear as a thumbnail or as it appears with the iPhone commercials, the photo needs to be assigned with the supported application on your computer.

With Vista, this can be with Outlook 2007, or with Outlook 2003 if Outlook 2003 includes the option to assign a photo to a contact - but I don't believe Outlook 2003 includes this option.

Windows Contacts - I believe this is the name of the address book used by what was formally called Outlook Express prior to Vista, which is now called Windows Mail with Vista I believe - supports assigning a photo to a contact. If you aren't current syncing your iPhone contact information with this address book, try doing so and assign photos to a contact there followed by a sync.
