Colorware Painting Results (pics)

I mailed my nano to Colorwarepc ( http://www.colorwarepc.com) to be painted. I got it back in the mail on Friday. The results are amazing - I am very impressed. They have lots of colors to choose from. It can be a single color ($64) or two-tone (body & wheel) ($84). The paint is very similar finish to a car. There is a clear coat that is applied that protects the screen as well. The scratches I previously had on the screen are no longer visible. I have been using my nano in pocket etc. and the paint is very durable - no scratches. The cost is really not that much when you add up the cost for cases and stickers/decals etc. The paint job they did is really amazing - I have looked over every small detail and I have not found a single flaw - it is perfect. I am so glad to be able to enjoy my nano without treating it like an egg shell - so afraid to scratch it etc.

Details: I mailed it FedEx Ground on 9/30, arrived @ Colorware 9/27, received e-mail confirmation of shipping on 10/11, arrived back to me on 10/14 via FedEx ground.

I would definitely recommend this service - I'm very happy with the results.

I came very close to getting the Techno wheel color with the Blaze body but I went with the black.

yeah they do but its an extra $20.00!! to match the color on the front. that stuff better be good if i get it seeing how its like $65.00 just for the front.

If I were to get one, I'd get some combination of Prowler and Caution (can't decide which color should go where).

Colorware is really cool and seems high quality...

If you have a few $$$ to spend, you'll get a unique and protected Nano...

But...

DOES IT VOID THE WARRANTY??

I'm happy with my white nano with tube...but I'm always concerned about things that may void the warranty .

I contacted them today and they will only clear coat the back if you choose to have it colored, so, I guess not.....

Just received a colored nano today. Mystic is the main body color and smoke is the wheel color.

Here are 2 photos. The second photo was to show how the headphone is also colored.

Yes, the color is sparkly like metallic paint.

I've been using the nano for a couple days now - carried in my pocket and in my briefcase. Not a single scratch. No cases or stickers. The paint finish is like a car. I imagine it would be very hard to chip the paint. It is a very durable finish - definitely does not scratch as easy as it did before the painting. Not sure what it will take to scratch it - I'm not going to do anything intentional to test it 🙂 However, I am confident that under normal use and carrying it will not scratch as it did before.
